Holiday Greetings from Quantum Marine |
|
Visit us at Quantum Marine Engineering and see our special page,
'A Quantum Christmas'.
Greetings to all our friends, and please accept our best wishes, and our shared hopes for a prosperous and peaceful New Year. Zero-Speed (tm) remains our big success story of 2001- Quantum makes roll stabilization at anchor or while drifting the product to have in 2002. Our list of installed and commissioned systems includes some of the most fabled names in yachting, such as the beautiful Feadships 'Kisses' and 'Lady Sheridan.' 'Mercedes III,' Oceanfast Hull #77, 'Perfect Prescription,' Oceanfast Hull #79, and Cheoy Lee's megayacht project, the 'Sea Shaw,' have all scheduled their ZeroSpeed(tm) installations- just a few of the projects planned for the New Year. Mercedes III gets a long list of Quantum products: their kit includes a QT thruster, stabilizers, and two custom Quantum power packs, including the "Quiet Pack" for ZeroSpeed (tm) operation. This follows the path of the stabilizers, thruster, and related equipment produced for the fabulous new "Aussie Rules," the first Norman Expedition Yacht from Oceanfast. You can get some great shots of the construction process and lots of details on this wonderful project at their web site linked below. Also, in 2002 Quantum will supply the largest set of fins ever delivered for a yacht, each fin sized at six square meters plus, to a prestigious European yard. We displayed the brand new Quantum Controls stabilizer products at the Monaco Yacht Show, where we showed off the amazing ARC 3000 control, the most sophisticated fully electronic and multi-term stabilizer control available today. John Allen and Mike Perkins also led the Quantum team at the prestigious Project 2001, held in conjunction with METS in Amsterdam, where Quantum Controls equipment featured in the "New Products" presentation. It's been a busy year. Mike Perkins reports that several airlines have begged him to stop traveling the globe to stay on top of all our projects- they can't afford to keep giving him miles like this. And, for those of you who were lucky enough to see John Allen's speech at Project 2000, stand by for IMREX (Miami Beach Feb. 14-16), where John joins a seminar panel with other prestigious yachting personalities to debate the concept of integrated systems. We hope we can see everybody at IBEX (Fort Lauderdale Feb. 7-9) as well. Thanks to one and all, and best wishes for a Happy Holiday and nothing but the best for the New Year. Merry Christmas from John Allen, Mike Perkins, Peter Florence, and all your friends at Quantum!
