    This is the second Quantum presentation, following John Allen's discourse at Project 2000 on how advances in fluid power technology make the Integrated Hydraulic System possible. Hans, the engineer and developer of the ARC series of fully electronic stabilizer control systems produced by Quantum Controls BV, addressed the benefits of active fin stabilization at anchor, particularly in relation to flume tanks. His draft paper is linked as an Acrobat PDF File, and the results contained within the paper are based on testing at the prestigious MARIN Institute.

    The tank test pictures are also from later MARIN tests, and provide some insight into not just how the rigorous tank testing procedure takes shape, but some new avenues of development currently underway at Quantum.
