The F430, successor to the 360 Modena, features an hydraulically modulated and electronically controlled limited-slip differential, a feature now banned in Formula 1 racing. The hydraulic power for the differential clutch comes from the engine-driven pump Ferrari uses for the gearbox, creating a true integrated hydraulic system.
