South Florida Manufacturers Association Award

The South Florida Manufacturers Association, a prestigious association of over 150 companies that promotes growth and knowledge in this vital sector, recently announced that Quantum Marine Engineering of Florida, Inc. had received Runner-Up honors in the "Manufacturers of the Year" competition in 2008. Quantum's General Manager, Pete Grenfell, is pictured accepting the award in February of 2008.

Dubai Boat Show

Dubai's Boat Show, March 11-15, got 2008 off to a great start with Mike Perkins, John Pirovano, and Peter Florence in attendance with lots of good news about current and future projects. Quantum's show schedule includes the American Superyacht Forum in June, Monaco in September, Ft. Lauderdale in October, and METS in November- a truly global presence. World-class yachts increasingly are found, and built, and serviced everywhere, so it seems natural that the show circuit reflect the diversity and strength of a global market.

John Pirovano

Quantum welcomes 2008 with our new Technical Sales Representative, John "Kiwi" Pirovano, an experienced and knowledgeable long-term member of our yachting fraternity. John will work closely with Mike Perkins maintaining and improving customer support as we develop new markets and technologies. ZeroSpeed™, MagLift™, and XT™ updates

Christensen's “13” just joined the ZeroSpeed™ ranks, and in addition is the fourth commissioned vessel with our XT™ fins, the extendable-retractable fins that resize themselves for optimum performance both underway, and at anchor. XT™ fins retract to remain in the hull envelope for docking, and for lower-drag at speed, and extend to provide maximum roll reduction at anchor. Patriot Features a MagLift™ System

We're also able to announce three commissioned MagLift™ systems, with the fantastic Feadship “Patriot” the most recent. “Patriot” enjoys a complete Quantum ride control system for her high-speed transits, and MagLift™ rotors that deploy for low and zero-speed roll reduction. Fresh out of her refit at Derecktor of Florida, “Patriot” really has the full Quantum treatment, with Quantum Alignment's optical alignment providing the “submarine quiet” vibration-free performance specified as the project goal.

Our ZeroSpeed™ list of systems either installed and commissioned, or in production or pre-commissioning, now is over 350, with 200 commissioned and in service in some of the finest anchorages in the world. The Quantum fleet continues to grow, and ZeroSpeed™ and OnAnchor™ set the standard for yacht stabilizers and roll reduction while anchored or drifting without sacrificing any of our legendary underway performance.
